UPDATE! November 17: Nights like last night are the reason Halfcookies officially updates in the morning...You might have noticed a new friend on this week's Halfcookies(!) strip, yup, its the halfcookies.com watermark. Posting on a forum about little-known dieties? Post this bad boy on the forum and spread the word. See y'all next week.

UPDATE! October 20: I just got back from Portland a few days ago, and it feels pretty good to be back. It feels pretty good to be updating again, too.
UPDATE! August 25:Technical note for all webcomic artists out there. Don't color with faber-castell brush pens on any kind of paper stock with any kind of sheen to it and expect it to scan ok. Holy crap did the colors come out awful on this one. The scanner wasn't able to pick up hardly any of the grays...everything came out messy.
As you might have observed in the past few weeks, team HalfCookies has experimented with wacom inking, limited color schemes, photos, and being victim to plagiarizing, but this experiment with the brush pens and paper stock totally blew up in my face. Whoops.
Also, check the blog, I have found a companion piece to this week's comic.
UPDATE! August 18:This just in! Crappy tasting beer rips of Halfcookies' cool, refreshing flavor! Read all about it!
UPDATE! August 4: Hey, notice the link to the expiramental RSS feed? It is a short term solution, but totally works. Now you can have HalfCookies! automatically sent to you via RSS feed. Give it a try!
UPDATE! July 21:Happy Berfday guys! It has officially been one year since Pitera and I put HalfCookies! on the web. We have started very small, but we now enjoy a readership of around 3,000 hits a month, which is still relatively small, but very exciting for us. As this is our one year anniversary, we have news so big, we are skipping the mini-blog at the bottom of the screen and posting it up front.
A book is coming. While we aren't going to give away too many details, we can tell you it will be primarily new material, roughly around 80%. We should begin production in late summer and be completed in early fall. Information on how to get your hands on a copy will be coming shortly.
Also, an RSS feed will be coming to this site soon. I was really gunning to have that finished and ready to reveal for the big celebration, but I fell behind and the feed still doesn't work. Bummer.
Thanks again to you readers for a giving us a very educational year of running a website. We can't wait to come up with another year's worth of material for you.
Thanks for sticking with us.
UPDATE! July 14: A few surprises are coming next Monday.
UPDATE! July 06:Umm...I know we've been tooting our own horn about the whole close to being one year old thing, but what comes hand in hand with that milestone it the 50th comic milestone. So yea for us.
UPDATE! June 22: HOLY CRAP ONLY ONE MORE MONTH TILL OUR BIG ONE YEAR CELEBRATION! "So what do you have planned for our Halfcookies one year spectacular?" you may be asking. Hint: it's a secret.
(psst...Pitera, what are we going to do for that one year thing?)
UPDATE! June 16:Hey folks! No more ads! At least until we figure out project wonderful, and even then, they wont be nearly as intrusive as our previous ads. Also, our contact button is completely operational! Feel free to click "contact" and drop us a line!
UPDATE! June 9: Sorry folks, Memorial Day weekend kind of cut into our Halfcookies work schedule. However, good food, and good Mario Kart made our absence worth it. Expect us back next week with some added renovations to our illustrious site.
UPDATE! May 16: Due to me being out of town this weekend, Halfcookies is updating a bit earlier in the week.
UPDATE! May 13: So, we are doing a bit of redecorating here at the HC HQ. Please note our myspace button, and the fact that the contact button will be up and running shortly.
UPDATE! April 28: Lordy, Lordy, look whos 40! Halfcookies is celebrating its 40th strip, putting us dangerously close to being one year old! Celebrate by telling a friend to check us out.
UPDATE! April 14: A quick word about this week's update. I was drunk at a diner with friends when I drew this. (This is only the second time I have done this) Questions such as why I murdered Pitera's original script, why the words "hell yeah" are coming out of Bunny's butt, and Buny's ludicrous facial expression on panel 3 are questions I have no awnser for.
Regardless, I think this one turned out funny as hell.
UPDATE! April 7: Better late than never.
UPDATE! March 31: Sometimes, I get tired of looking at a computer screen to make art, so this weeks strip is more or less computer free. Also, I was lucky enough to be invited to AFI's animated short film festival at the last minute. I am now a raving fan of Tom Deslongchamp's bizarre animations. Be sure to check them out over at his website. Don''t write him off until you've seen Earl Boone is Alive.
UPDATE! March 24: Happy Easter, guys!
UPDATE! March 17: Sorry for the down time over the past week. There's a new comic up, and wouldn't you guess, it was actually drawn by Team Halfcookies. Also, strips from the past few weeks should be up in the archives within a few days.
UPDATE! March 3: Today's strip is the kind of thing that happens when you move out of your apartment and don't really feel like pulling your scanner out of a cardboard box.
I tried to find the original artist to this strip, which is First Love Illustrated, Vol. 1, No. 64, May 1956, but like most comics from the silver age, authors and artists are rarely credited with their work. However, you can see the complete original comic here.
